MOSCOW, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Participants in the Ukraine talks are considering Istanbul as a possibility to continue negotiations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.

"For now, I can say that in general there is an understanding that the negotiation process will continue, but again, there are no specific details yet," he said.

He added that Kiev is using increasingly sophisticated methods to carry out attacks, requiring Russia to adopt more high-tech countermeasures to protect its citizens.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian armed formations carried out a massive strike using high-impact missiles on residential areas and other civilian infrastructure in the Bryansk region, leaving seven dead and 42 injured.

Peskov said Russia must continue its special military operation and achieve its goals "to eliminate the risk of such actions and acts by Kiev such as the strike on Bryansk." ■
