BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted San Juan Province, Argentina at 1713 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 220.4 km, was initially determined to be at 31.61 degrees south latitude and 67.04 degrees west longitude. ■
